Test No. 19: Power Window(S) Will Not Operate, Or Auto Up Or Down Function For Power Window Does Not Operate

NOTE: Auto up or down function controls automatic operation of power window. When power window switch is pushed completely downward and then released, or pulled completely upward and then released, the power window will fully open or close.

Manufacturer states driver's door Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is the possible cause. Driver's door ECU is located on driver's door and is incorporated into the power window master switch. See Figure. Driver's door ECU may also be referred to as power window master switch.
