Test No. 14: Interior Light At Center Of Headliner Does Not Operate

  1. Check bulb in interior light at center of headliner. See Figure. If bulb is okay, go to next step. If bulb is defective, replace bulb and recheck interior light operation.
  2. Check interior light. See INTERIOR LIGHT OR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT  under COMPONENT TESTS. If interior light is okay, go to next step. If interior light is defective, replace interior light assembly and recheck interior light operation.
  3. Check wiring harness and electrical connectors between interior light and passenger's side Junction Block (J/B) Electronic Control Unit (ECU). See WIRING DIAGRAMS in ILLUMINATION/INTERIOR LIGHTS article. Passenger's side J/B ECU is located at passenger's side of instrument panel. See Figure. Repair wiring harness or electrical connector as necessary.
