Description & Operation

Keyless entry system allows doors to be locked and unlocked by use of low-power electrical waves emitted from a hand-held transmitter. Pushing unlock button once will turn off theft deterrent system and unlock driver's door. Pushing transmitter button again within 3 seconds will unlock other doors. If doors are not opened within 30 seconds, all doors will automatically relock.

When ignition key is in ignition key cylinder, door control relay will prevent doors and luggage compartment from opening. If after wireless door lock or unlock operation, door lock condition does not change, wireless door lock ECU stops signal reception and stops door lock and unlock function. Door lock ECU is protected by GAUGE fuse (10-amp), ACC fuse (7.5-amp) and DOOR fuse (20-amp) located in instrument panel junction block and by DOME fuse (10-amp) located in engine compartment relay block.
