Front Washer Switch Operation Test: Highlander

  1. Turn wiper switch OFF. Disconnect combination switch connector. Connect fused jumper wire between battery voltage and terminal No. 17 (switch-side). Connect fused jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 2 and 16. See Figure. Connect DVOM positive lead to terminal No. 7 and negative lead to terminal No. 2.
  2. Depress washer switch and monitor DVOM voltage readings. Readings should change from zero volts to battery voltage within one second of depressing washer switch. After switch is released, readings should change from battery voltage to zero volts in about 3 seconds. If readings are not as specified, replace wiper/washer switch.
