Power Window Master Switch Circuit Test: Tundra

Disconnect 10-pin power window master switch connector. See Fig 1. Check switch for voltage or continuity. See POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH CIRCUIT TEST - CONNECTOR DISCONNECTED (TUNDRA)  and POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH CIRCUIT TEST - CONNECTOR CONNECTED (TUNDRA)  tables.

Connector Terminal No. To Ground Condition (1) Result
1 Constant Continuity
3 Constant No Continuity
4 Constant No Continuity
8 Constant No Continuity
9 Constant battery voltage
10 Constant No Continuity
(1) If circuit is not as specified, inspect circuits connected to other components.
POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH CIRCUIT TEST - CONNECTOR CONNECTED (TUNDRA)

Application & Switch Position Terminals No. (1)
Driver's Switch
UP 1 & 4; 3 & 9
OFF 1, 3 & 4
DOWN 1 & 3; 4 & 9
Passenger's Switch
Locked
UP 8 & 9
OFF 8 & 10
DOWN 9 & 10
Unlocked
UP 1 & 10; 8 & 9
OFF (2) 1, 8 & 10
DOWN 1 & 8; 9 & 10
(1) Continuity should exist at all terminals unless otherwise specified. If continuity is not as specified, replace power window master switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
(2) Continuity should not exist at these terminals.
