How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

  1. Vehicle Brought In 
  2. Customer Problem Analysis Check And Symptom Check (See  CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK  ) 
  3. Inspect Communication Function Of Large-Scale Body Multiplex Communication System (Bean) 
    1. Check there is no abnormality in the communication system by inspecting the communication function of the body multiplex communication system with hand-held tester.
      1. (ECU unconnected, communication line abnormal) Without code outputs, proceed to A
      2. (ECU unconnected, communication line abnormal) With code outputs, proceed to B
    1. A : Go To Step 4  , (Diagnostic Trouble Code Check).
    2. B : Go To Body Multiplex Communication Section (See  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART  ) 
  4. Diagnostic Trouble Code Check. See  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART  
    1. Check DTC.
      1. Without code outputs, proceed to A
      2. With code outputs, proceed to B
    1. A : Go To Step 5  , (Problem Symptoms Table).
    2. B : Go To Step   7  , (Adjustment, Repair Or Replacement).
  5. Problem Symptoms Table. See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  . 
    1. Without applicable symptoms, proceed to A
    2. With applicable symptoms, proceed to B
    1. A : Go To Next Step  , (Perform Troubleshooting In The Following Method, Depending On Malfunction Symptom).
    2. B : Go To Step   7  , (Adjustment, Repair Or Replacement).
  6. Perform Troubleshooting In The Following Method, Depending On Malfunction Symptom 
    1. Pre-check (See PRE-CHECK )
      1. Check with hand-held tester (ECU DATA MONITOR)
      2. Check with hand-held tester (ACTIVE TEST)
    2. Terminals of ECU (See TERMINALS OF ECU )
  7. Adjustment, Repair Or Replacement
