Section 169 (Anti-Lock Brake System): Description

Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) consists of an ABS Electronic Control Unit (ECU), ABS solenoid relay, ABS motor relay, ABS actuator and 4 speed sensors. See Fig 1.

ABS indicator light is located on the instrument cluster and comes on for 3 seconds as a bulb test when ignition is turned on. ABS indicator light will come on whenever an ABS-related malfunction occurs.
