Inspection Procedure

INSPECT TRANSMISSION WIRE

1. Disconnect the transmission wire connector from the transaxle.
2. Measure resistance between the terminal 1 and 2.
  OK:
  
  Resistance: 5.0 - 5.6 Ohms at 20 °C (68 °F)
  
  NG: Go to step 3
  
  OK
CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (Transmission wire - ECM)

1. Connect the transmission wire connector.
2. Disconnect the ECM connector.
3. Measure resistance between terminal SLT+ and SLT-.
  OK:
  
  Resistance: 5.0 - 5.6 Ohms at 20 °C (68 °F)
  
  NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (See TESTING PROCEDURE )
  
  OK
  
  CHECK AND REPLACE ECM (See TESTING PROCEDURE )
INSPECT LINE PRESSURE CONTROL SOLENOID ASSY (SLT)

1. Remove the line pressure control solenoid (SLT).
2. Measure the resistance between terminals.
  OK:
  
  Resistance: 5.0 - 5.6 Ohms at 20 °C (68 °F)
3. Connect the positive (+) lead with a 21 W bulb to terminal 2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1 of the solenoid valve connector, then check the movement of the valve.
  HINT:
  
  The solenoid valve operates with the current of 0.20 - 0.96 A.
  
  OK:

  NG: REPLACE LINE PRESSURE CONTROL SOLENOID ASSY (SLT)
  
  OK
