Inspection Procedure
- READ VALUE OF OBD II SCAN TOOL OR HAND-HELD TESTER
- Warm up the engine.
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Connect the OBD II scan tool or hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON and push the OBD II scan tool or hand-held tester main SW ON.
- Select the item "OVERDRV CUT SW1" in the DATALIST and read its value displayed on the OBD II scan tool or hand-held tester.
NOTE: The values given below for "Normal Condition" are representative values, so a vehicle may still be normal even if its value differs from those listed here. Do not depend solely on the "Normal Condition" here when deciding whether or not the part is faulty.OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )

- Disconnect the connector of transmission control switch.
- Check continuity between terminals 2 and 4 of transmission control switch.
OK:

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH - ECM)

- Connect the connector of transmission control switch.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Check continuity between terminals ODMS and E1 of ECM.
OK:
