DTC P0441: EVAP System Incorrect Purge Flow & DTC P0446: EVAP System Vent Control Circuit: Notes
NOTE:
- If DTCs P0441, P0446 or P0451 is output with DTCs P0442 or P0456, first trouble shoot DTCs P0441, P0446 or P0451. If no malfunction is detected, trouble shoot DTCs P0442 or P0456 next.
- Read freeze frame data using hand-held tester or OBD II scan tool because freeze frame records engine conditions when malfunction is detected. When trouble shooting, it is useful for determining whether vehicle was running or stopped, engine was warmed up or not, air-fuel ratio was lean or rich, etc. at time of malfunction.
- When ENGINE RUN TIME in freeze frame data is less than 200 seconds, carefully check vapor pressure sensor.
- The following EVAP LEAK TEST (with hand-held tester) confirms if there is a small leak (correspond to P0442) in EVAP system.
