Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HAND-HELD TESTER 
    1. Monitor code
      1. Using the hand-held tester, inspect the monitor code of the door ECU.
    NOTE:
    • The monitor code shows the switch condition when a DTC is output.
    • When a monitor code is indicated while the switch is not operated, the switch is detected in being stuck.

      When a monitor code is not indicated while the switch is operated, it is detected that the switch contact condition is bad.

    B1221/21 Driver's Side Switch 1 (Operating) Any Switch Of The Power Window Regulator Master Switch Is ON
    1. NG : Go to step   3 
    2. OK : Go to Next Step 
  2. CHECK MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU 
    1. Inspect the output of the body ECU.
      1. Inspect the voltage between terminal 2 (GND) and each terminal of the door which body ECU is inoperative.

      Standard:

    NOTE:
    • When an output to the passenger door is normal, proceed to OK-A  . Go to step  3.
    • When outputs to both rear doors are normal, proceed to OK-B  . Go to step  4.
    • When an output to either of the passenger door and both rear doors are abnormal, NG : REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU  .
  3. OK-A

    CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (PASSENGER SIDE) 
    1. Check the continuity.
      1. Check the continuity between each terminal of the connectors.

      Standard:

    1. OK : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. NG : REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
  4. OK-B

    CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY REAR (REAR RH & LH) 
    1. Check the continuity.
      1. Check the continuity between each terminal of the connectors.

    1. OK : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
