Shift Lock Solenoid

Remove shift lock solenoid. See SHIFT LEVER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between the terminals. See Fig 1. If there is no continuity, replace the shift lock solenoid.

Check the solenoid operating sound when connecting the battery voltage across the terminals. See Fig 2. If the solenoid does not operate, replace the shift lock solenoid.
