Deceleration Sensor (4WD): Replacement

  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  2. REMOVE DECELERATION SENSOR BRACKET 
    1. Remove the bolt and upper side deceleration sensor bracket.

  3. REMOVE DECELERATION SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the deceleration sensor connector from the deceleration sensor, then remove the 2 bolts and deceleration sensor with the anchor side deceleration sensor bracket.

  4. INSTALL DECELERATION SENSOR 
    1. Install the 2 bolts and deceleration sensor to the body, then connect the deceleration sensor connector to the deceleration sensor.

    Torque: 21 N.m (214 ft.lbf, 15 ft.lbf) 

    NOTE:
    • Do not use the dropped or damage sensor.
    • Free from the foreign matters or floor carpet between the deceleration sensor bracket and body.
  5. INSTALL DECELERATION SENSOR BRACKET 
    1. Install the bolt and upper side deceleration sensor bracket.

    Torque: 21 N.m (214 ft.lbf, 15 ft.lbf) 

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  7. CHECK DECELERATION SENSOR SIGNAL (See  PRE-CHECK  )
