Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (+BS TERMINAL VOLTAGE)

    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
    2. Measure the voltage between terminals + BS (S1-2) and GND (S1-1, 23) of skid control ECU harness side connector.

      Voltage: 10-14 V 

    1. NG: Go to   4 
    2. OK: Go to next step 
  2. RECONFIRM PTC 
    1. Check the DTC (See PRE-CHECK  ).

      OK : 

      Normal code 

    1. OK: End 
    2. NG: Go To Next Step 
  3. INSPECT CONTACT CONDITION 
    1. Inspect the contact condition of the each connector from engine room R/B to skid control ECU.
    1. NG: Repair Or Replace Harness Or Connector 
    2. OK: Check And Replace Brake Actuator Assy (See  ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ) 
  4. INSPECT FUSE (ABS No.1 FUSE)

    1. Remove ABS No.1 fuse from the engine room R/B.
    2. Check continuity of ABS No.1 fuse.

      OK : 

      Continuity 

    1. NG: Inspect For Short Circuit In All Harness And Components Connected To ABS No. 1 Fuse 
    2. OK: Go to next step 
  5. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (GND TERMINAL CONTINUITY)

    1. Measure resistance between terminal GND (S1-1, 23) of skid control ECU harness side connector and body ground.

      Resistance: 1 Ω. or less 

    1. NG: Check And Repair Harness And Connector (See  ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ) 
    2. OK: Check And Replace Brake Actuator Assy (See  ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE  )
