Vacuum Switching Valve For EVAP

- Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between EVAP VSV terminals. See Fig 1. If resistance is 26-30 ohms at 68°F (20°C), go to next step. If resistance is not 26-30 ohms, replace VSV.
- Using ohmmeter, ensure no continuity exists between each electrical terminal and body of EVAP VSV. Replace EVAP VSV if continuity exists.
- Apply air pressure. Ensure no air flows from parts. See Fig 2.
- Apply battery voltage and ground to electrical terminals on EVAP VSV. Apply air pressure. Ensure air flows from port. Replace EVAP VSV if defective.
