Fuel Suction With Pump & Gauge Tube Assembly: Installation

- Install NEW filler pipe hose to fuel tank. See Fig 1.
- Install fuel tank breather tube. Push in tube connector until it clicks. install retainer. Check that connections are secure by pulling them.
- Install NEW gasket onto fuel tank. Set fuel suction tube assembly to fuel tank. Be careful not to bend arm of sender gauge. Fit a spline of fuel suction tube assembly into keyway of fuel tank. See Fig 2.
- Using a NEW retainer, align mark on retainer with screw threads starting point of fuel tank. See Fig 3.
- Using special tool (09808-14020), tighten retainer one more complete turns and position mark on retainer into range "A" of fuel tank. Turn retainer two complete turns and position mark. See Fig 4. A rib on retainer can be fitted into a tip of special tool.
- Install fuel tank assembly. See FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY .
