Inspection Procedure

  1. Check steering pad switch. 

    PREPARATION:

    Disconnect the steering pad switch connector.

    CHECK:

    Check the resistance of steering pad switch connector.

    OK:

    1. NG : Replace steering pad switch. 
    2. OK : Go To Next Step. 
  2. Check wire harness and connector between radio and player and steering pad switch. 

    PREPARATION:

    Disconnect the radio and player and steering pad switch connectors.

    CHECK:

    1. Check continuity of the wire harness between terminal SW2 of radio and player and terminal AU2 of the steering pad switch.
    2. Check continuity of the wire harness between terminal SW1 of radio and player and terminal AU1 of the steering pad switch.
    3. Check continuity of the wire harness between terminal SWG of radio and player and terminal EAU of the steering pad switch.

    OK:

    1. Continuity 
    1. NG : Repair or replace harness and connector. 
    2. OK : Replace radio and player (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ).
