Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT

    1. Remove the security indicator.
    2. Apply battery voltage and check that the indicator light come on, as shown in the illustration and table.

      Standard:

      1. NG: REPLACE SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT 
      2. OK: Go To Next Step 
  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TVIP ECU <--> SECURITY INDICATOR)

    1. Disconnect the TVIP ECU and security indicator connectors.
    2. Check the continuity between the terminals of the TVIP ECU connector and security indicator connector, as shown in the illustration and table.

      Standard:

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: Go To Next Step 
  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SECURITY INDICATOR <--> BODY GROUND)

    1. Disconnect the security indicator connector.
    2. Check the continuity between the terminal of the security indicator connector and the body ground, as shown in the illustration and table.

      Standard:

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: CHECK AND REPLACE TVIP ECU (See  ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE  )
