Inspection Procedure

  1. Check ECU-IG, PWR No. 1 and ECU-B fuse. 

    CHECK:

    Check continuity of ECU-IG, PWR No. 1 and ECU-B fuse.

    OK:

    1. Continuity 
    1. NG : Replace the failure fuse. 
    2. OK : Go to Next Step 
  2. Check voltage between terminals BDR, CPUB, SIG and GND of driver door ECU connector. 

    PREPARATION:

    Turn ignition switch ON.

    CHECK:

    Measure voltage between terminals SIG, and GND.

    OK:

    1. Voltage: 10 - 14 V 

    PREPARATION:

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect the driver door ECU connector.

    CHECK:

    Measure voltage between terminals BDR, CPUB and GND.

    OK:

    1. Voltage: 10 - 14 V 
    1. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ). 
    2. NG : Go to Next Step 

  3. Check wire harness and connector between ECU and body ground (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    1. NG : Repair or replace wire harness or connector. 
    2. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ).
