Inspection Procedure
- Check operation of transmission shift switch.
PREPARATION:
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Shift the shift lever into the S position.
CHECK:
Check the gear shift indicator when the transmission shift switch is pressed.
OK:
TRANSMISSION SHIFT SWITCH CONDITIONSwitch Condition Odo Trip Display Panel UP switch pressed Up-shift 1 gear position DOWN switch pressed Down-shift 1 gear position - NG: Go to step 3
- OK: Go to next step
- Check harness and connector between battery and transmission control ECU, transmission control ECU and combination meter ( PROCEDURE
).
- NG: Repair or replace harness and connector.
- OK: Replace transmission control ECU ( PROCEDURE ).
- Inspect transmission shift switch.
PREPARATION:
- Remove the steering wheel pad.
- Disconnect the transmission shift switch connector.
CHECK:
Check continuity between each terminal of transmission shift switch connector.
OK:

- NG: Replace the steering wheel.
- OK: Check and replace combination meter ( COMBINATION METER ).
