Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK SETTING (THE VOLUME OF THE NAVIGATION SOUND) 
    1. Check the settings.
      1. Set the volume MAX at the voice sound settings on the menu.

        Standard: Vocalize "This system will guide you in the volume". 

        NOTE:
        • In the following cases, no voice sound guidance is made even if the system is normal.
        • When the destination is not set.
        • When not running on the route. (the remaining distance at the left bottom on the present points is not displayed)
        • When "other modes guidance" is not set. (voice sound guidance is made only on the map screen)
    1. OK: NORMAL 
    2. NG: Go to next step. 
  2. CHECK AUDIO SOUND PRODUCTION 
    1. Check audio sound production.
      1. Turn the IG switch to ON.
      2. Turn on the power supply of radio receiver assy, and check if the audio sound is properly produced from the front left speaker.

        Standard: Audio sound is normal. 

    1. OK: CHECK AND REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSY 
    2. NG: Go to next step. 
  3. INSPECT FRONT NO.1 SPEAKER ASSY 
    1. Preparation for check.
      1. Disconnect the connector of the front left No. 1 speaker.
    2. Resistance check.
      1. Check the resistance between the terminals of the front left No. 1 speaker.

        Standard: 4 Ω 

    1. NG: REPLACE FRONT NO.1 SPEAKER ASSY 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  4. INSPECT FRONT NO.2 SPEAKER ASSY 
    1. Check that malfunction disappear when a known good speaker is installed.

      Standard: malfunction disappear. 

      NOTE:

      Connect the all connectors of speakers.

    1. NG: REPLACE FRONT NO.2 SPEAKER ASSY 
    2. OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
