Inspection Procedure

INSPECT UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSY
1. Remove the key UNLOCK warning switch.
2. Inspect the key UNLOCK warning switch continuity, as shown in Fig 1 and Fig 2.
  Standard:

1. NG: REPLACE UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSY
2. OK: Go to next step.
CHECK WIRE HARNESS (UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH <=> INSTRUMENT PANEL J/B)
1. Disconnect the UNLOCK warning switch and instrument panel J/B connectors.
2. Check the continuity between the terminals of the UNLOCK warning switch (U1) and instrument panel J/B (IJ) connectors, as shown in Fig 3 and Fig 4.
  Standard (Check for open):

1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
2. OK: Go to next step.
INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY (DRIVER'S SIDE)
1. Remove the courtesy lamp switch.
2. Inspect the courtesy lamp switch continuity, as shown in Fig 5 and Fig 6.

1. NG: REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY
2. OK: Go to next step .

CHECK WIRE HARNESS (FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH [DRIVER'S SIDE] <=> INSTRUMENT PANEL J/B)

Disconnect the courtesy lamp switch and instrument panel J/B connectors.

Check the continuity between the terminals of the courtesy lamp switch (D7) and instrument panel J/B (ID) connectors, as shown in Fig 7 and FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH TO INSTRUMENT PANEL J/B WIRE HARNESS SPECIFICATIONS .

Standard (Check for open):
