Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT OUTER AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 
    1. Remove cooler (ambient temp. sensor) thermistor.
    2. NOTE:

      As the temperature increases, the resistance decreases.

    3. Measure resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of cooler (ambient temp. sensor) thermistor connector at each temperature.

      Resistance: 

      at 0 °C (0 °F): 9.097 - 9.701 kΩ 

      at 25 °C (77 °F): 2.725 - 2.865 kΩ 

      Resistance: 

    1. NG: Replace Outer Ambient Temperature Sensor 
    2. OK: Go To Next Step 
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    1. NG: Repair Or Replace Harness Or Connector 
    2. OK: Check And Replace Combination Meter Assy
