Light Failure Sensor Circuit

Disconnect the connector from the light failure sensor and inspect the connectors on the wire harness side. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . See INSPECTING LIGHT FAILURE SENSOR CIRCUIT  table. If the circuit is as specified, replace the relay. If the circuit is not as specified, inspect the circuits connected to other parts.

INSPECTING LIGHT FAILURE SENSOR CIRCUIT

Tester Connection (Wire Color) Condition Specified Condition
1 (Green/White) - Ground Constant Continuity (1)
2 (Green/Yellow) - Ground Constant Continuity (1)
6 (Green/Red) - Ground Constant Continuity (1)
7 (Green/Yellow) - Ground Constant Continuity (1)
11 (White/Black) - Ground Constant Continuity
12 (Green/Red) - Ground Constant Continuity (1)
5 (Green) - Ground Light Control Switch OFF No Voltage
5 (Green) - Ground Light Control Switch In TAIL Or HEAD B+ Voltage
8 (Red/Blue) - Ground Ignition Switch In LOCK Or ACC No Voltage
8 (Red/Blue) - Ground Ignition Switch ON B+ Voltage
9 (Green/White), 10 (Green) - Ground Stop Light Switch OFF No Voltage
9 (Green/White), 10 (Green) - Ground Stop Light Switch ON B+ Voltage
(1) There is resistance because this circuit is grounded through the bulb.
