Inspection Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Lexus IS 300 and 2002 Lexus IS 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Check the DOME fuse. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS . If the fuse is OK, go to the next step. If the fuse is not OK, replace the fuse.
  2. Check the illumination light. If the light is OK, go to the next step. If the light is not OK, replace the failed light.
  3. Check the wiring harness and connector between each illumination light and body ECU, battery and each illumination light. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If the results are OK, proceed to the next circuit inspection of the symptom. See PROBLEM SYMPTOM INDEX  table. If the results are not OK, repair or replace the wiring harness or connector.
