Front Wiper Motor

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Black 5-pin electrical harness connector from front wiper motor. Using fused jumper wires, connect positive battery voltage to front wiper motor terminal No. 5 and negative battery voltage to front wiper motor terminal No. 4. See Fig 1. Motor should operate at low speed. Replace motor if operation is not as specified. See FRONT WIPER MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Remove fused jumper wire from terminal No. 5 and reconnect at front wiper motor terminal No. 3. Leave negative battery voltage applied to front wiper motor terminal No. 4. See Fig 1. Motor should operate at high speed. Replace motor if operation is not as specified. See FRONT WIPER MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  3. With front wiper motor operating at high speed, disconnect jumper wire from front wiper motor terminal No. 3 any where except at STOP position (bottom of travel). Use a jumper wire to connect front wiper motor terminal No. 1 to terminal No. 5. Reconnect positive battery voltage to front wiper motor terminal No. 2. Leave negative battery voltage applied to front wiper motor terminal No. 4. See Fig 1. Motor should stop at STOP position after operating one more time. Replace motor if operation is not as specified. See FRONT WIPER MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
