Circuit Description

The CMP sensor consist of a 3-tooth signal plate and a pick-up coil. Signal plate is mounted on camshaft. DTC is set when no camshaft position signal is received by ECM from CMP sensor during cranking. DTC is also set when no camshaft position signal is received by ECM from CMP sensor with engine speed of 600 RPM or more. Possible causes are:
