Section 471 (Front Wiper System & Washer System): Installation

  1. INSTALL WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the wiper motor and link assembly, then torque the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 7.0 N.m (70 kgf.cm, 62 in.lbf) 

    2. Connect the connector.
  2. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER AND HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL 
  3. INSTALL WIPER ARMS 
    1. Operate the wipers once and turn the wiper switch OFF.
    2. Install the wiper arms and torque the 2 nuts by hand.
    3. Adjust the installation positions of the wiper arms to the positions as shown in Fig 1.

      A: Approx. 25 mm (0.98 in.) 

      B: Approx. 30 mm (1.18 in.)

    4. Torque the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 25 N.m (255 kgf.cm, 18 ft.lbf) 

    5. Install the wiper arm head caps.
