Section 559 (Steering Column Shift Assembly): Removal

REMOVE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL ).
REMOVE PARKING LOCK CABLE ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the screw and parking lock cable No. 2.
2. Using a torx socket wrench, remove the 2 screws and parking lock cable No. 1.
3. Remove the spring.
4. Remove the 2 bolts and parking lock cable housing.

REMOVE SHIFT LEVER
1. Disconnect the connector.
2. Using a torx socket wrench, remove the torx screw and shift lever.
3. Remove the upper No. 2 steering column cover.
REMOVE SHIFT LEVER HOUSING
Using a torx socket wrench, remove the 3 torx screws and shift lever housing.
