Inspection Procedure

- INSPECT HEATER CONTROL HOUSING SUB-ASSY (A/CI)
- Remove A/C amplifier assy with connectors still connected.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Measure voltage according to the value(s) in TERMINAL CONDITION SPECIFICATION

Standard:
TERMINAL CONDITION SPECIFICATIONTerminal No. Condition Specified Condition E7-33 (A/CI) - Body ground A/C switch ON Below 1.0 V
- B: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- C: CHECK AND REPLACE HEATER CONTROL HOUSING SUB-ASSY
- A: Go to next step.
- INSPECT COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSY
- Disconnect compressor connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in TERMINAL CONDITION SPECIFICATION

Standard:
TERMINAL CONDITION SPECIFICATIONTerminal No. Condition Specified Condition A3-1 - A3-2 at 20°C (68°F) 165 to 205 Ω
- NG: REPLACE COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSY
- OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BETWEEN COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSY AND ECM)
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
- OK: Go to next step.
- INSPECT ECM (LCKI)
- Remove ECM with connector.
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- A/C switch ON.
- Measure waveform between terminal LCKI of ECM and body ground.
Standard: Pulse generation
HINT:
- The correct waveform is as shown in Fig 4 .
- NG: CHECK AND REPLACE ECM
- OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BETWEEN ECM AND HEATER CONTROL HOUSING SUB-ASSY)
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
- OK: CHECK AND REPLACE HEATER CONTROL HOUSING SUB-ASSY
