Circuit Description

The power window regulator master switch assembly controls the driver's power window motor. The jam protection functions only within the operation range of the jam protection during the AUTO UP and MANUAL UP operation.

  1. CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY 
    1. The AUTO UP or AUTO DOWN operation works with the ignition switch ON.
      1. NG: GO TO FLOW CHART (See  AUTO UP/DOWN OPERATION OF DRIVER'S DOOR WINDOW IS IMPOSSIBLE (MANUAL OPERATION IS POSSIBLE)  ) 
      2. OK: Go to next step 
  2. CHECK JAM PROTECTION FUNCTION OPERATING RANGE 
    1. Check that the jam protection function does not operate with in 4 mm (0.16 in.) before the full-closed position of the door glass.
      1. OK: NORMAL 
      2. NG: Go to next step 
  3. RESET POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR 
    1. Reset the power window regulator motor (See OVERHAUL ).
    2. Check if the door glass operates normally.

    HINT:

    Unless the door glass operates normally, make an adjustment of the door glass assembled condition and then check the operation once again.

    1. OK: NORMAL 
    2. NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY
