Circuit Description

This circuit sends a mute signal to the stereo component amplifier assy. This has the effect of keeping sound from being produced even when the sound source changes.
If there is an open in the circuit, sound can be heard from the speaker when changing the sound source. If there is a short in the circuit, either extremely quiet sound will be produced, or no sound will be produced at all.
