Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK FUSE (PWR SEAT) 
    1. Remove the PWR SEAT fuse from driver side J/B.
    2. Measure the resistance.

      Standard: Below 1 Ω 

    NG: REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  2. INSPECT POWER SEAT SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Disconnect the power seat switch connector.
    2. Measure the resistance of each terminal, as shown in Fig 1 and Fig 2.

      Standard:

      NG: REPLACE POWER SEAT SWITCH ASSY (See  OVERHAUL  ) 

      OK: Go to next step. 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Measure the voltage of each terminal of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard:

    2. Measure the resistance of each terminal, as shown in Fig 5 and Fig 4.

      Standard:

      NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

      OK: Go to next step. 

  4. INSPECT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSY (LUMBAR) 
    1. Check that the motor rotates smoothly when the battery is connected to the lumbar support adjuster motor connector terminals.

      Standard:

      NG: REPLACE POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSY (See  OVERHAUL  ) 

      OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SEAT SWITCH ASSY - POWER SEAT MOTOR)
