Fuel Tank & Filler Pipe Air Tightness

Disconnect EVAP line hose from charcoal canister side and pressurize fuel tank to .58 PSI (4 kPa). See Fig 1. Check that internal pressure of fuel tank holds for one minute. If pressure does not hold, check connected portions of each hose and pipe. Check installed parts on fuel tank. If connections and parts are normal, replace fuel tank and filler pipe. Reconnect EVAP line hose to charcoal canister.
