Possible Causes

DTC P0335 is set when ECM does not receive input signal from crankshaft position sensor with engine cranking or with engine speed of 600 RPM or more (2 trip detection logic). DTC P0339 is set when ECM does not receive input signal from crankshaft position sensor for .05 sec or more when engine speed is at 1000 RPM or more, STA signal is off and 3 seconds or more has lapsed after STA signal is switched from on to off. Possible causes are:
- Crankshaft position sensor circuit is open or shorted.
- Defective crankshaft position sensor.
- Defective signal plate.
- Defective ECM.
