Continuity Test

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Black 18-pin electrical harness connector from wiper/washer switch at bottom of upper steering column bracket. Remove wiper/washer switch. Note wiper/washer switch positions and electrical terminals.
  2. Using a DVOM, check continuity between specified terminals of wiper/washer switch with wiper/washer switch in each specified position. See Fig 1. See WIPER/WASHER SWITCH CONTINUITY  table. If continuity is not as specified, replace wiper/washer switch. See WIPER/WASHER SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.

OFF 7 & 16 Continuity
INT 7 & 16 Continuity
LO 7 & 17 Continuity
HI 8 & 17 Continuity
Washer On 2 & 11 Continuity
