Wiper/Washer Switch: Notes

WARNING: Wait for at least 90 seconds after disconnecting and shielding negative battery cable before beginning removal of light control switch. Air bags may deploy if work is started before 90 seconds have elapsed.
CAUTION: Ensure ignition switch is in OFF position before disconnecting air bag connector. If air bag connector is disconnected with ignition switch in ON or ACC position, diagnostic trouble codes will be recorded.
NOTE: Wiper/washer switch is a component of combination switch, mounted to steering column. For further information on combination switch removal procedure, see STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES - AVALON article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
