Inspection Procedure

  1. Check PWR, ECU-B and ECU-IG fuse. 

    CHECK:

    Check continuity of PWR, ECU-B and ECU-IG fuse.

    OK:

    1. Continuity 
    1. NG : Replace the failure fuse. 
    2. OK : Go to Next Step 

  2. Check voltage between terminals POWER, SIG, BDR, BECU and GND of back door ECU connector. 

    PREPARATION:

    Turn ignition switch ON.

    CHECK:

    Measure voltage between terminals SIG, and GND.

    OK:

    1. Voltage: 10 - 14 V 

    PREPARATION:

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect the back door ECU connector.

    CHECK:

    Measure voltage between terminals BDR, BECU and GND.

    OK:

    1. Voltage: 10 - 14 V 
    1. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown in  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  . 
    2. NG : Go to Next Step 

  3. Check wire harness and connector between back door ECU and battery, back door ECU and body ground (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    1. NG : Repair or replace wire harness or connector. 
    2. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown in  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  .
