Inspection Procedure

  1. Check DVD player. 

    PREPARATION:

    Remove the DVD player with connector still connected.

    CHECK:

    1. Check that the output waveform of terminal CDR+ and SGND when DVD sounding.
    2. Check that the output waveform of terminal CDR- and SGND when DVD sounding.
    3. Check that the output waveform of terminal CDL+ and SGND when DVD sounding.
    4. Check that the output waveform of terminal CDL- and SGND when DVD sounding.

    OK:

    1. A waveform synchronized with sounds is output. 
    1. NG : Replace DVD player. 
    2. OK : Go To Next Step. 

  2. Check wire harness. 

    PREPARATION:

    Disconnect the connector DVD player and RSE ECU.

    CHECK:

    1. Check continuity of the wire harness between terminal CDR+ of the rear display and terminal VTR+ of the RSE ECU.
    2. Check continuity of the wire harness between terminal CDR- of the rear display and terminal VTR- of the RSE ECU.
    3. Check continuity of the wire harness between terminal CDL+ of the rear display and terminal VTL+ of the RSE ECU.
    4. Check continuity of the wire harness between terminal CDL+ of the rear display and terminal VTL+ of the RSE ECU.
    5. Check continuity of the wire harness between terminal SLD of the rear display and terminal SG4 of the RSE ECU.

    OK:

    1. Continuity 
    1. NG : Repair or replace harness and connector. 
    2. OK : Replace RSE ECU.
