How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

The hand-held tester can be used at steps 3, 6, 9, 12.

  1. Vehicle Brought to Workshop 
  2. Customer Problem Analysis (See  CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK  ) 
  3. Check and Clear DTCs and Freeze Frame Data (See  PRE-CHECK  ) 
  4. Problem Symptom Confirmation 
    1. Symptom does not occur: Go to step 5 
    2. Symptom occurs: Go to step   6 
  5. Symptom Simulation (See  ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ) 
  6. DTC Check (See  PRE-CHECK  ) 
    1. There is no output: Go to step 7 
    2. There is output: Go to step   8 
  7. Problem Symptoms Table (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ) 
    1. Check for fluid leakage and go to step   10 
  8. DTC Chart (See  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART  ) 
  9. Circuit Inspection (See  DTC C0200/31 RIGHT FRONT SPEED SENSOR, DTC C0205/32 LEFT FRONT SPEED SENSOR, DTC C1330/35 FOREIGN MATTER IS ATTACHED ON TIP OF RIGHT FRONT WHEEL, DTC C1331/36 FOREIGN MATTER IS ATTACHED ON TIP ON LEFT FRONT SENSOR   to  DTC C1300/62 SKID CONTROL ECU MALFUNCTION  ) 

    HINT:

    When 2 or more DTCs are detected, perform circuit inspection one by one until the problem is identified.
