Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (P/W) 
    1. Remove the P/W fuse from the instrument panel J/B.
    2. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

      Standard: Below 1 Ω 

    1. NG: REPLACE FUSE 
    2. OK: Go to Next Step. 
  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the D8 master switch connector.
    2. Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connector.

    Standard:

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: Go to Next Step. 
  3. CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY LH 
    1. Disconnect the D8 master switch connector.
    2. Check operation of the power window regulator motor.

      OK:

    1. NG: Go to step   4 
    2. OK: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY 
  4. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY (SWITCH OPERATION) 
    1. Disconnect the D8 master switch connector.
    2. Measure the resistance of the switch when the switch is operated.

      Standard:

    1. NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY 
    2. OK: Go to Next Step. 
  5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY LH) 
    1. Disconnect the D8 master switch connector.
    2. Disconnect the P7 motor connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard: 

    POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH - MOTOR RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    D8-9 (DD) - P7-2 (D) Below 1 Ω
    D8-3 (DU) - P7-1 (U) Below 1 Ω
    D8-9 (DD) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
    D8-3 (DU) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY LH
