Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU & SWITCH ASSY - BATTERY) 
    1. Disconnect M6 ECU connector.
    2. Fig 1: Checking Harness And Connector M6

    3. Measure the voltage of each terminal of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard:

      OK PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   ) 

      NG: Go to next step. 

  2. INSPECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Disconnect A4 switch connector.

    3. Measure the resistance of each terminal of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard:

      NG: REPLACE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSY (See  PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH  ) 

      OK: Go to next step. 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSY) 
    1. Measure the voltage of each terminal of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard:

      NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

      OK: Go to next step. 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSY - POSITION CONTROL ECU & SWITCH ASSY) 
    1. Measure the resistance of each terminal of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard:

      NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

      OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   )
