Inspection Procedure

HINT:

  1. Check voltage between terminals TC and CG of DLC3. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Turn the ignition switch ON.

    CHECK: 

    Measure the voltage between terminals TC and CG of the DLC3.

    OK: 

    Voltage: 9-14 V 

    1. OK: Check and replace ECM (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    2. NG: Go to next step. 
  2. Check continuity between CG of DLC3 and body ground. 
    1. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector. 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  3. Check for open and short circuit in harness and connector between ECM and DLC3, and DLC3 and body ground (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    1. NG: Repair or harness or connector. 
    2. OK: Check and replace ECM (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ).
