Inspection Procedure

  1. Check wiper and washer switch using LEXUS hand-held tester. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Connect the LEXUS hand-held tester to the DLC3.

    CHECK: 

    Check the wiper switch using DATA LIST.

    OK: 

    Wiper switch: 

    WIPER SWITCH SPECIFICATION

    Switch name (Tester display) No pressing Pressing
    Front wiper MIST switch (F WIPER MIST SW) OFF ON
    Front wiper AUTO switch (F WIPER AUTO SW) OFF ON
    Front wiper HI switch (F WIPER HI SW) OFF ON
    Front wiper LO switch (F WIPER LO SW) OFF ON
    Front wiper INT Switch (F WIPER INT SW) OFF ON

    Washer switch: 

    WASHER SWITCH SPECIFICATION

    Switch name (Tester display) No pressing Pressing
    Front washer switch (F WASHER SW) OFF ON
    1. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptom table (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ). 
    2. NG : Replace combination switch (See  REMOVAL  ).
