Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HEADLAMP DIMMER SWITCH ASSY (LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH) (Refer to  HEADLAMP DIMMER SWITCH ASSY (LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH)  ). 
    1. NG: REPLACE HEADLAMP DIMMER SWITCH ASSY (LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH) 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TVIP ECU <=> LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH) 
    1. Disconnect the TVIP ECU and light control switch connectors.
    2. Check the continuity between the terminals of the TVIP ECU connector and light control switch connector, as shown in Fig 1 and TESTING TVIP ECU HEADLIGHT TO LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH .

      Standard:

      TESTING TVIP ECU HEADLIGHT TO LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH

      Test Between Terminals No. Specified Condition
      HEAD (T3-6) <=> RF (C12-12) Continuity
    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH <=> BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the light control switch connector.
    2. Check the continuity between the terminal of the light control switch connector and the body ground, as shown in Fig 2 and TESTING LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH CONTINUITY .

      Standard:

      TESTING LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH CONTINUITY

      Test Between Terminals No. Specified Condition
      T (C12-10) <=> Body Ground Continuity
    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: CHECK AND REPLACE TVIP ECU (Refer to  ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE  )
