Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Check the power window regulator master switch.
      1. Disconnect the D12 power window regulator master switch connector.
      2. Check the voltage and continuity of each terminal of the disconnected connector.

      Standard: 

      CONTINUITY AND VOLTAGE CONDITION BETWEEN CONNECTORS TERMINALS

      Symbols (Terminal No.) [+ <--> -] Condition Specification
      E (D12-1) <--> Body ground Constant Continuity
      BW (D12-7) <--> Body ground Constant 10 - 14 V
      B (D12-11) <--> Body ground Ignition ON 10 - 14 V

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: Go to next step 
  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS 
    1. Check the continuity of the wire harness.
      1. Disconnect the D12 power window regulator master switch connector.
      2. Disconnect the P6, P7 and P8 power window regulator switch connectors.
      3. Check the continuity between the disconnected connectors.

      Standard (Passenger w/ Jam protection): 

      STANDARD (PASSENGER W/ JAM PROTECTION)

      Symbols (Terminal No.) (Master <--> Passenger) Specified condition
      PU (D12-13) <--> SU (P6-5) Continuity
      PD (D12-13) <--> SD (P6-2) Continuity

      Standard (Passenger w/o Jam protection): 

      STANDARD (PASSENGER W/O JAM PROTECTION)

      Symbols (Terminal No.) (Master <--> Passenger) Specified condition
      PU (D12-18) <--> SU (P6-5) Continuity
      PD (D12-13) <--> SD (P6-2) Continuity

      Standard (Rear LH w/ Jam protection): 

      STANDARD (REAR LH W/ JAM PROTECTION)

      Symbols (Terminal No.) (Master <--> Rear LH) Specified condition
      RLU (D12-12) <--> SU (P7-5) Continuity
      RLD (D12-10) <--> SD (P7-2) Continuity

      Standard (Rear LH w/o Jam protection): 

      STANDARD (REAR LH W/O JAM PROTECTION)

      RLU (D12-12) <--> SU (P7-5) Continuity
      RLD (D12-13) <--> SD (P7-2) Continuity

    2. OK: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY
