Inspection Procedure
- CHECK IGNITION OR STARTER SWITCH ASSY
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE IGNITION OR STARTER SWITCH ASSY
- OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK FUSE (ECU-IG)
- Remove the fuse from the instrument panel J/B.
- Check the continuity of the fuse.
Standard: Continuity
- NG: REPLACE FUSE
- OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK RELAY
- Remove the ignition relay from the instrument J/B.
- Check the ignition relay continuity, as shown in
Fig 4 and TESTING IGNITION RELAY TERMINAL CONTINUITY .
Standard:
TESTING IGNITION RELAY TERMINAL CONTINUITYTest Between Terminals No. Condition Specified condition 1 <=> 2 Constant Continuity 3 <=> 5 Apply B+ between terminals 1 and 2 Continuity
- NG: REPLACE RELAY
- OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TVIP ECU <=> BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the TVIP ECU connector.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Check the voltage between the terminal of the ECU connector and the body ground, as shown in
Fig 5 and TESTING ECU TERMINAL VOLTAGE .

- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: CHECK AND REPLACE TVIP ECU (Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE ).
