Section 1049 (Rear Spoiler Sub-ASSY): Replacement

HINT:

• The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order.
• A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt table (SEE SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS ).

1. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM COVER (See  REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSY  ) 
2. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM ASSY (See  REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSY  ) 
3. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD ASSY (SEE  OVERHAUL  ) 
4. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD (SEE  OVERHAUL  ) 
5. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSY (See  REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSY  ) 
6. REMOVE REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSY 
   1. Put protective tape under the rear spoiler.
   2. Remove the 4 bolts.
   3. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 clips and remove the rear spoiler.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

   4. Disconnect the center stop lamp connector.

7. REMOVE CENTER STOP LAMP ASSY 
   1. Remove the 2 screws and stop lamp.
