Circuit Description

Battery positive voltage is not supplied to terminal +BM of the ECM for the electric throttle control system. See Fig 1. If this DTC is stored, the ECM shuts down the power for the throttle motor and the throttle valve is locked at a certain opening angle. However, the opening angle of the throttle valve can be controlled by the accelerator pedal through the throttle cable.

DTC is set when ECM detects an open in ETCS power source circuit. Possible causes are:
