Power Window Motor PTC Operation (Front)

  1. Inspect the power window motor PTC operation.
  2. Disconnect the connector from the master switch.
  3. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal No. 2 and negative (-) lead to terminal No. 1 on the wire harness side connector and raise the window to full closed position. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION .
  4. Continue to apply voltage and check that there is a PTC operation noise within approximately 4-90 seconds.
  5. Reverse the polarity and check that the window begins to descend within approximately 60 seconds.
  6. If operation is not as specified, replace the motor. See FRONT DOOR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR  under COMPONENT TESTS.
